Abdolla Akhmetovich Rozybakiev (October 31, 1897, Kolzhat village, Verny district - November 28, 1937) - Soviet public figure of Uyghur origin. In April 1917, he was elected secretary of the Verny (Almaty) city Muslim workers' union. In 1918, he became a member of the Zhetysu regional revolutionary committee.

He participated in the establishment of Soviet power in the Zhetysu region, together with Oraz Zhandosov, Pavel Vinogradov, Tokash Bokin, and other public figures. In the spring of 1920, he was appointed chairman of the Zharkent district and city revolutionary committees. At the end of the same year, as the commissar of the volunteer Uyghur regiment he organized, he participated in the fight against the Basmachis in the Fergana "steppe". In August 1921, he was elected secretary of the Zhetysu regional committee of the CPSU (b) and chairman of the regional "Kosshy" union.

In 1924, he became a member of the Commission for the National-State Planning of Central Asia. In 1925-27, he studied at the Communist University in Moscow. He served as the first secretary of the Kyzylorda District Committee of the CPSU (b) (May 1929 - March 1930), the Commissar for Training of the Kazakh ASSR (late 1930 - 1932), and the secretary of the Pavlodar District (later District) Party Committee of the East Kazakhstan Region.

In the last years of his life, he was the deputy head of the Press and Publishing Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan. In early June 1921, he was the organizer and editor of the newspaper “Kambagarlar Avazi” (“Voice of the Poor”), which began to be published in the Uyghur language in Tashkent and later in Almaty. In 1937, he became a victim of political repression. A street in Almaty was named after Rozybakiyev.

Rozybakiev Street (Almaty) The street is named after the famous statesman Abdollah Akhmetovich Rozybakiev (Decision of the Almaty City Executive Committee of 26.12.1962 № 453/26). Rozybakiev Abdulla Akhmetovich (1897-1938) was born in the Shelek district of the Almaty region (now Enbekshikazakh). He founded the "Muslim Workers' Society". In 1920, he served as the chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Zharkent district, and in 1921, he served as the chairman of the Central Committee of the Turkestan Communist Party, secretary of the Almaty regional committee, chairman of the "Kosshy" regional council. There are various large and small institutions along the street, including the city wholesale market, the "Dana" shopping center, etc. The street crosses the Bostandyk and Almaly districts. The street starts from Raiymbek Avenue and extends from north to south to al-Farabi Avenue. Its former name is 17th Line Street. The length of the street is 7,000 meters.
